VitalCore Health Strategies is hiring a Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant for the El Paso County Jail in Colorado Springs, CO. The role focuses on ambulatory care within a correctional setting, delivering high‑quality basic medical services under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program.
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in the state of employment.
• Experience in Correctional care is desirable but not required.
• Maintains required annual licensure and credentialing requirements for physician assistants / Nurse Practitioners.

NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT POSITION SUMMARY

The Nurse Practitioner utilizes the medical model to meet a variety of healthcare needs with ambulatory care as their primary focus in a correctional environment. The Physician’s Assistant works with a variety of healthcare professionals/security officers in a correctional environment to provide basic medical services supervised by a licensed Physician.

NURSE PRACTITIONER / PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Graduate of an accredited college/university NP / PA program
• Must possess current licenses or certifications in the state of employment
• Experience in Correctional desired but not required
• Maintains required annual licensure and credentialing requirements for physician assistants / Nurse Practitioner in the healthcare unit.
