Job summary

Doist is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our outpatient primary care practice. The ideal candidate will have primary care experience and be comfortable managing a geriatric population. Office hours are 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and leadership responsibilities within the practice. Florida licensure and bilingual English/Spanish are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Preferably 3 years of experience working in a primary care setting.
• State of Florida license requirements.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Managed Care, Medicare Advantage & HEDIS coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care in their area of specialty through assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, planning and implementation.
• Perform responsibilities in four areas: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure safe and effective patient care and desired outcomes.
• Monitor quality of care through customer service and performance improvement for positive patient outcomes.
• Provide leadership in the practice location.
• Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) act in compliance with Florida law.
• Treat less urgent acute conditions and manage chronic conditions with care coordination.

This is an 100% outpatient position with office hours from 8am to 5pm, M-F. The incoming candidate should be comfortable caring for a geriatric patient population.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery of patient care in their area of specialty through the process of assessment; evaluation; diagnosing; recognition and prevention of adverse events; planning; and implementation.
• Performs responsibilities in four areas of practice: clinician, teacher, leadership, and professional development.
• Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure safe; effective and efficient patient care delivery; and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.
• Continuously monitors quality patient care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.
• Provides leadership in the practice location.
• Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) are required to function consistent with Florida Law.
• Provides treatment for less urgent acute conditions as well as manages chronic conditions and provides care coordination.
