Job summary

QCHC Inc is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide on-site inmate care in Cookeville, TN. The role involves ordering care, documenting visits, and coordinating with jail administration and off-site providers.

Requirements include an active CRNP license, a Master's in Nursing, and 1–3 years of NP experience, preferably in corrections. Part-time, day shifts, exempt status. BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing required.
• Must have current and valid CRNP.
• Must have current, unencumbered license in the state of practice.
• 1–3 years of previous Nurse Practitioner experience preferred.
• Experience working in corrections preferred.
• Current BLS certification

Responsibilities

• Provide nurse practitioner services on-site to inmates at QCHC facilities.
• Give appropriate medical orders to direct care by QCHC nursing staff at sites.
• Document all clinical encounters in the medical record.
• Participate in quality assurance, risk management, and staff education activities.
• Coordinate and communicate with jail administration as necessary.
• Participate in meetings with jail administration, Sheriffs, and/or county officials; work with off-site providers as necessary.
