Job summary

American Physiatry in Pittsburgh is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our in-person care team. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and work under a Physiatrist to improve functional outcomes.

The ideal candidate has PA NP license, can manage a caseload independently, document thoroughly, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Nurse Practitioner with a valid Pennsylvania certification.
  • Experience working independently while effectively managing your own caseload.
  • Submit accurate and thorough clinical documentation promptly, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients, identifying and managing medical conditions under the supervision of a Physiatrist.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, focusing on function and rehabilitation to improve patients' quality of life.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care, including medication management and therapy recommendations.
  • Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, health maintenance, and preventive care.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
