Job summary

Providence Medical Group - Alaska is seeking a full-time nurse practitioner to join its inpatient Palliative Care team in Anchorage, Alaska.

The role collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to improve quality of life for patients with serious illness, providing symptom management, care planning, and end-of-life support.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of experience preferred.
• Experience leading family meetings and goals-of-care conversations.
• Knowledge of symptom management.
• Experience in medication management, serious illness communication, and end-of-life care.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with inpatient providers, clinicians, nursing staff, social workers, case managers and chaplains to deliver patient-centered palliative care.
• Lead family meetings and goals-of-care discussions as needed.
