Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers in Colorado’s premier cancer care network seeks an Advanced Practice Practitioner (NP or PA) for a busy oncology clinic. You will collaborate with oncologists/nurses to deliver comprehensive cancer care.

This fast-paced, high-acuity environment requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and efficient management of a full schedule. Salary range is $110,000-$149,000 with benefits and potential quarterly productivity bonus.

Qualifications

  • MSN in Nursing and successful NP program completion with RN licensure and BLS/CPR.
  • PA: NCCPA certification and 3+ years of practice in the chosen specialty.
  • CNS: CNS licensure and MSN with CNS program completion; BLS/CPR on file.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for oncology patients.
  • Initiate and document interventions; prescribe therapies as indicated.
  • Perform procedures with supervision as required.
  • Provide patient and family education and support.
  • Promote wellness and refer to community resources as needed.
  • Contribute to data and evidence-based practice in the clinic.
  • Ensure timely medical records and charge capture.

Overview

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Practitioner. This position may report to Aurora, Centennial, Englewood (Swedish Medical Center Campus) or Littleton.

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our extremely busy oncology clinic. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing cancer treatment, working closely with oncologists, nurses, and the care team to deliver timely, high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

This environment is fast‑paced and high‑acuity, requiring strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and the ability to efficiently manage a full and dynamic schedule.

Salary Range:

$110,000-$149,000.00

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offers the following benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements:

A wide salary range is posted for this position and any job offer is based upon a salary analysis to comply with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. The salary analysis considers relevant experience, education, and certifications as compared to others doing substantially similar work. Responsibilities
  • Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients.
  • Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated.
  • Performs procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Assesses patient/family needs and provides education.
  • Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Often incorporates evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
  • Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
  • Likely to provide case management for patients and their families.
  • Sometimes serves as a resource for nursing staff by providing information being studied in clinical trials.
  • May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.
  • May promote/provide staff education
  • Responsibilities may include rounding at affiliated hospitals, weekend or after‑hour calls
Qualifications
  • Nurse Practitioner Mastersof Sciencein Nursing (MSN) fromanaccredited nursingschooland successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.This position typically requiresaminimumof 3yearsofexperience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably inthe chosen specialty. RN state licensureand current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current state licensure asaNurse Practitioner. AOCNP preferred.Currentbasic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.

  • Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty. Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Clinical Nurse Specialist Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of practicing Clinical Nurse Specialist, preferably in the chosen specialty. RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.Current state licensure as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. AOCNS preferred (if applicable). Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required.
