Job summary

Vanderbilt University Medical Center seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) to support outpatient services within the VPEC clinic in Nashville, TN. The APP will focus on subspecialized care and partner with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive, coordinated patient care.

The role requires 1+ year APP experience and a Master’s degree; clinic hours are 8:00am-6:00pm, four to ten hour shifts, weekdays, with no weekends or holidays.

Qualifications

• NP (FNP/ANP/AGPCNP/AGACNP) or PA licensure with current practice
• 1+ year APP experience required
• Experience working in inpatient, ambulatory or mixed settings preferred

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document health history and perform focused exams with plan of care.
• Collaborate to provide primary, acute and complex care and manage overall patient care.
• Order, perform, interpret, and collect relevant diagnostic data.
• Form differential diagnoses and treat acute and chronic conditions.
• Prescribe medications and non-pharmacologic therapies within scope of practice.
• Provide specialty-specific consultation and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Facilitate patient transitions between care settings and teams.
• Contribution should align with department goals and may include additional duties.
