Job summary

Sutter West Bay Medical Group in San Francisco is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a collaborative, physician-led team delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a modern ambulatory urgent care setting.

You will evaluate and treat non-emergent illnesses across the lifespan, perform in-office testing and procedures, and collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely referrals and coordinated care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program.
• National certification as NP (FNP or equivalent) or PA-C.
• Active, unrestricted California license.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain.
• BLS required; ACLS/PALS as applicable.
• Urgent care, emergency or ambulatory acute care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat non-emergent acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform diagnostic testing: labs, EKGs, imaging.
• In-office procedures within scope of licensure.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and care teams.
• Ensure timely referrals and escalation when needed.

Position Highlights

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat non-emergent acute illnesses and minor injuries across the lifespan
• Perform and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, EKGs, and imaging
• Perform in‑office procedures consistent with urgent care practice and scope of licensure
• Collaborate closely with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary care teams
• Ensure timely referrals, escalation of care, and coordination when clinically indicated
• Practice within a highly respected, physician‑led organization

Qualifications
