Job summary

NextCare in Flagstaff, AZ seeks a Full-Time clinician for our urgent care team. You will provide medical care across a broad patient population, with autonomy in a fast-paced, well-supported setting.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active AZ license for NP or PA.
• Board certification or eligibility required.
• PA: NCCPA certification; NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP preferred).
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• BLS certification required.
• EHR proficiency essential.
• Willingness to work weekends and major holidays.
• DOT certification or willingness to obtain (fees covered).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses and injuries and provide occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging studies.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound care.
• Communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions clearly.
• Document patient care accurately in the EHR and code/bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity aligned with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare standards and values.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted AZ license for NP | PA


• Board certification or eligibility, as applicable


• PA: NCCPA certification


• NP: ANCC or AANP certification (FNP required)


• Active DEA license (or ability to obtain)


• Ability to treat patients of all ages


• Active BLS certification


• EHR proficiency


• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays


• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain (fees covered)

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior urgent care, emergency medicine, or fast‑track experience


• Strong procedural skills (e.g., suturing, splinting, wound care)


• Experience with initial x‑ray interpretation prior to radiology over‑read
