Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Penn Medicine LG Health is seeking a full time Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Neuroscience team. As a provider in our fast-paced Neuroscience environment this APP will provide a combination of inpatient and outpatient care for our Neuroscience patient population. The role involves initial diagnosis and acute management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, neurosurgical post-op patients, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, rare headache conditions, and neurologic complications of other critical conditions such as cardiac arrest, sepsis, and non-neurologic surgical procedures. There are no operative responsibilities included in this position. Our Neuroscience APP team functions all over the hospital primarily as a consultant service in both emergent and non-emergent settings.
The Neuroscience APP position also allows for both incredible autonomy mixed with support from a friendly and collaborative team. Our team is excited to share our clinical expertise in diagnosis and management of a wide variety of neurological conditions to interested and motivated candidates. We have an interest and focus in elevating the level of neurologic knowledge of our patients and community; therefore, we are constantly learning as a team to deliver the highest quality care.
Hours: Fulltime (0.9 FTE); Days/Evening coverage. The FTE will be split for 0.3 FTE Inpatient (a 12-hour shift per week) and 0.6 FTE Outpatient (likely three 8 hour shifts per week). There will be an expectation for at least every 3rd weekend with the potential mix of every other weekend as needed.
