Job description

We are hiring a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at the Ball Memorial Hospital Pre-Op Clinic in Muncie, IN!

Position Details:

• Part-Time (0.75 FTE)
  • 3 x 10 hour shifts
  • 7am-5pm
• 100% outpatient
• Dedicated position to the pre-op clinic
• Work directly with 1 physician and 1 APP
• Expected patient volume: 24 per week
• Patient population includes patients needing pre-op clearance and education

Key Responsibilities:

• Assessment of patients for surgical readiness
• Assessment of comorbidities that will affect surgical and post-op success
• Education on managing comorbidities in conjunction with surgery
• Determine if specialty clearance is necessary prior to surgery

Qualifications:

• Master's degree required
• Will accept ACNP, AGNP, FNP, and PA
• Open to new graduates with inpatient or surgical RN experience
• Previous inpatient and/or surgical experience, either as an RN or as an APP preferred
