Bassett Healthcare Network in Oneonta, NY, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide OR first assist and inpatient support for the Oneonta Surgical Associates and affiliated sites.

Join a General Surgery team of 2 Surgeons and 2 NPs/PAs, with Monday–Friday coverage, rotating call, and a group-employed model offering a competitive salary and sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant – NCCPA or NP.
• NYS Licensure required for practice.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• DEA registration required.

Responsibilities

• Join an established General Surgery team of 2 Surgeons and 2 NPs/PAs.
• Provide OR first assist and inpatient coverage at AO Fox Memorial Hospital and affiliated sites.
• Work Monday–Friday with rotating first-call responsibilities for inpatient and ED services.
• Rotating weekend call with 4-hour shifts; no overnight call.
• Prior surgical experience is preferred.

Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network, a progressive, academic health system in central New York, major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide OR and inpatient support to AO Fox Memorial Hospital affiliate and outpatient clinics in Oneonta as well as the Delhi, Sidney and Norwich locations.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Join an established General Surgery team of 2 Surgeons and 2 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants
• Responsibilities include working in outpatient clinics as well as OR first assist and inpatient at affiliate AO Fox Memorial Hospital
• Monday-Friday coverage - includes rotating first call responsibilities for AO Fox Hospital inpatient and ED services
• Rotating weekend call - 4 hour shirt Saturday & Sunday - no overnight call required
• Previous surgical experience preferred
• Salary Range: $127,803 - $144,035 plus performance-based compensation.This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare's good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
