University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide inpatient GI consults at the MHealth University of Minnesota Medical Center campuses. You will work with gastroenterologists and advanced practice providers to manage a range of GI disorders.
This full-time role offers weekday daytime hours with occasional weekend shifts, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package, including generous PTO and a robust retirement plan.
Provide primarily inpatient GI consult service for patients at the MHealth University of Minnesota Medical Center - East and West Bank campus. Work closely with academic Gastroenterologists and an experienced group of Advanced Practice Providers to care for patients with a diverse range of GI disorders. Support two distinct inpatient consult services (General Gastroenterology and Advanced Endoscopy/Pancreaticobiliary) with occasional support to the Liver Service as needed. The PA or NP is an experienced member of the health care team who uses advanced practice skills with the supervision/collaboration of licensed physicians to provide comprehensive health care services to patients. The Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner engages in independent decision making about health care needs and provides health care services to adult individuals throughout their life span. Provide physical and psychological health assessments, patient education and counseling, order and interpret diagnostic procedures, and manage acute and chronic disease conditions ensuring continuity of care for individuals in the communities served.
Schedule will be weekday, daytime hours but could include 1 weekend shift per month (with equivalent time off during the work week). Full-time
Minimum of 1 year of experience in gastroenterology or related specialty area in an inpatient hospital setting is preferred.

The full-time salary range is $130,866 - $ 161,954 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialty-specific compensation components.
