Sansum Clinic in Santa Barbara, CA, seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Endocrinology team in a full-time outpatient role. The position offers a 2-year guarantee, with a salary range of $130,000 to $180,000 per year.

No hospital duties or call, 36 patient-care hours weekly, Monday–Friday daytime schedule. Candidates must be NP/PA certified, possess a CA license or be able to obtain one, and hold a DEA certificate and/or California Furnishing License.

Qualifications

• NP/PA with Directly Related Endocrinology experience.
• Excellent skill set in Endocrinology and ability to manage chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrine care, including chronic disease management.
• Manage Type I & Type II diabetes and other endocrine-related conditions.
• Deliver follow-up visits and urgent add-on visits within a care-team pod model.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs, diabetes educators, and clinical staff.
• Educate patients on diet, exercise, medications, and long-term disease management.
• Participate in administrative duties (approximately 10% of workload).

Key Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient endocrine care, including chronic disease management
• Manage Type I & Type II diabetes and other endocrine‑related conditions
• Deliver follow‑up visits, urgent add‑on visits, and work within a care‑team pod model
• Collaborate closely with physicians, RNs, diabetes educators, and clinical support staff
• Provide patient education on diet, exercise, medications, and long‑term disease management
• Participate in administrative duties (approximately 10% of workload)

Position Details

• Full‑time position (36 patient‑care hours per week)
• Monday–Friday, daytime schedule
• Outpatient only (no hospital responsibilities)
• No call requirement
• Patient volume: 12–16 patients per day
• Join a collaborative, multidisciplinary care team

Salary

2 Year Guarantee

$130,000 – 180,000 Annually
