Job summary

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center is seeking a Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our critical care team. This role offers a mix of day and night 12-hour shifts (7 am-7 pm or 7 pm-7 am) across 14 shifts per month, with nocturnal stipends available.

You will collaborate with physicians, provide comprehensive patient care, and have opportunities to participate in research and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required.
• National NCCPA certification preferred for PAs.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside critical care physicians in a team-based model.
• Provide comprehensive care: assessment, planning, education, treatment, and follow-up.
• Learn and perform procedures: Central Lines, Temporary dialysis catheters, Arterial lines.
• Serve as patient advocate, liaison, and trusted advisor for patients and families.
• Opportunity to participate in patient-centered research and improvement initiatives.
• Moonlighting opportunities available for additional income.
