Job summary

Advocate Health's Cardiology team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) to join a growing inpatient and outpatient program that includes interventional cardiology, a heart failure clinic, and electrophysiology services.

In this role you will deliver comprehensive cardiology care in a team-based setting, with opportunities to contribute to care model development and workflow design, while working closely with physicians and APP colleagues.

We’re seeking Advanced Practice Providers (NP/PA) to join our Cardiology team in Sheboygan, Wisconsin as we continue to expand and strengthen care across both hospital and clinic settings. This is an opportunity to join a growing and evolving program with a true inpatient and outpatient cardiology role within a broad general cardiology practice, including interventional cardiology, a dedicated heart failure clinic, and a growing electrophysiology service, all within a team-based care environment.

About the role

You will have the opportunity to
  • Manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions
  • Work closely with physician and APP colleagues in a team-based model
  • Contribute to care model development and workflow design
Licenses & Certifications
  • Physician Assistant license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.
  • Physician Assistant (PA-C) certification issued by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices, and Nurse Practitioner (ANCC) certification issued by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), or Nurse Practitioner (AANP) certification issued by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), and Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Registration, and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA). May obtain within 6 months based on department discretion.
Degrees
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physician Assistant.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the workday.
  • Must have functional speech, vision, touch, and hearing.
  • Must be able to: lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist. lift up to 20 lbs over the head. carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance.
  • Must be able to: push/pull with 30 lbs of force. perform a sliding transfer of 150 lbs with a second person present.
  • Will be exposed to the following hazards: mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiation as well as blood and body fluids; therefore, protective clothing and equipment (i.e., goggles, lead apron, gloves, gowns, etc.) must be worn as necessary.
  • Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
