Job summary

Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Moosic, PA seeks experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) and/or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join our flex per diem team supporting care for adults and adolescents. The role supports a dedicated behavioral health center with onsite resources and a collaborative care model.

Position focuses on comprehensive assessments, medication management, and team-based treatment planning, with Epic documentation and coordination of care across clinicians and families

Qualifications

• The successful NP candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved NP program or be eligible for national certification.
• The successful PA candidate will work under physician supervision and require completion of an ARC-PA approved PA program with NCCPA certification or eligibility and PA state licensure in PA.
• Preferred minimum 1 year of clinical experience.
• Experience using Epic.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and case managers.

Job Summary

Geisinger is seeking experienced Family Nurse Practitioners (FNP) and/or Physician Assistants (PA-C) to join our team as a flex per diem provider supporting care for adults and adolescents based at the Geisinger Behavioral Health Center in Moosic, PA.

Job Duties

• Perform comprehensive medical assessments.
• Provide medication management, evaluations, and daily patient rounding.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and case managers.
• Document all care in the Epic electronic health record.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and coordinate care transitions.
• Communicate with families, caregivers, and community providers as needed to support continuity of care.

Practice Environment

Patient population: 75% adult, 25% pediatric (age 14+) Daily encounters: 10–16 Resources include onsite pharmacy and phlebotomy services; EHR is Epic Work autonomously No overnight shifts and no call.

Position Details

Qualifications

The successful Nurse Practitioner candidate will work in collaboration with the physician and have a certificate of completion from an approved program for Nurse Practitioners or be eligible to hold national certification that allows the NP to work with the patient populations and location settings associated with this position. Must be eligible for licensure as a nurse practitioner in the state of PA. The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.

Preferred Minimum 1 year of clinical experience
