Job description

Indiana University Health Physicians and the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Neurology are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to participate in patient care within a multidisciplinary clinical team of Neuro-oncologists. The APP will develop expertise in managing patients with primary brain/spinal cord tumors, metastatic nervous system tumors, and related neurological complications of cancer and its treatments. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, interested in research and education, as we expand and build our Center for Neuro-Oncology.

Position Details:
  1. Full-time, Day shift
  2. Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm
  3. No night or weekend call
  4. Primarily outpatient work at IU Health Neuroscience Center and North Hospital
  5. Minimal inpatient coverage at the Adult Academic Health Center
  6. Procedures include lumbar punctures, Ommaya reservoir taps, and intrathecal chemotherapy delivery (training provided)

Qualifications:
  • Certification as an Advanced Practice Provider
  • Patient-centered, compassionate care approach
  • Knowledge in oncology, neurology, palliative care, neurodegenerative diseases (preferred but not required)
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment
  • High emotional intelligence and accountability
  • Knowledge of evidence-based practice guidelines and healthcare regulations
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
