Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant based in the United States.

Join a patient-centered virtual healthcare team dedicated to making high-quality medical care accessible, convenient, and compassionate. In this role, you will provide comprehensive care to patients experiencing acute illnesses, injuries, chronic conditions, and mental health concerns. Through video consultations and secure messaging, you will assess symptoms, identify underlying health issues, and develop personalized treatment plans. You will leverage digital healthcare tools to support diagnostic decisions, coordinate laboratory testing, and manage prescriptions and follow-up care. Working collaboratively with physicians and other advanced practice providers, you will help deliver seamless, coordinated care in a flexible, technology-enabled environment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced clinician who values patient relationships, clinical autonomy, continuous learning, and innovative approaches to virtual medicine.

Accountabilities:

As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, you will deliver comprehensive virtual care while ensuring that patients receive accurate assessments, clear guidance, and coordinated treatment throughout their healthcare journey.

  • Assess patient needs: Conduct virtual consultations through video and secure chat, asking thoughtful questions to identify symptoms, understand medical histories, and investigate the underlying causes of illnesses, injuries, and other conditions.

  • Provide clinical diagnoses: Apply clinical expertise, patient history, and available remote diagnostic tools to develop accurate assessments and determine appropriate treatment options.

  • Develop and coordinate care plans: Order, interpret, and follow up on laboratory tests, using digital platforms to personalize treatment and monitor patient progress.

  • Manage prescriptions: Prescribe medications electronically when appropriate and explain their use, administration, potential side effects, and relevant precautions to patients.

  • Deliver ongoing care: Support patients managing acute illnesses, chronic conditions, and mental health concerns through virtual visits and follow-up consultations.

  • Collaborate with the care team: Work closely with physicians, fellow advanced practice providers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment and maintain continuity of care.

  • Adapt to virtual care challenges: Identify practical, patient-centered solutions to emerging clinical and operational challenges in a digital healthcare environment.

  • Maintain clear communication: Ensure patients understand their conditions, treatment options, and next steps through empathetic, accessible, and effective communication.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced, compassionate advanced practice provider with strong independent clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality care through digital platforms.

  • Education and licensure: Hold an active, unrestricted license as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). Nurse Practitioner candidates must hold a compact nursing license and be certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

  • Clinical experience: Have at least five years of independent patient-care experience as an APP in family practice, primary care, or urgent care.

  • Virtual healthcare experience: Demonstrate experience delivering patient-facing care through digital platforms, including urgent virtual visits, chronic care follow-ups, and mental health conversations.

  • Care coordination: Have experience coordinating treatment plans with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

  • Clinical judgment: Demonstrate the ability to assess symptoms, make informed diagnostic decisions, manage treatment, and determine appropriate follow-up care independently.

  • Communication skills: Communicate clearly and empathetically with patients and colleagues in a virtual setting.

  • Digital proficiency: Be comfortable using telehealth platforms and digital tools to support clinical assessments, documentation, and care coordination.

  • Adaptability and teamwork: Demonstrate a patient-first mindset, collaborative working style, and willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of virtual healthcare.

  • Language skills: English proficiency is required; bilingual English-Spanish skills are preferred.

  • Location requirements: Reside in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Ohio, or Texas.

  • Work schedule: Be available to work four 10-hour shifts per week, including rotating weekends. The currently available shift runs from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Benefits:
  • Hourly compensation: $55–$70 per hour.

  • Healthcare coverage: Medical, dental, and vision insurance.

  • Paid time off: Paid leave to support personal needs and work-life balance.

  • Retirement savings: Access to a 401(k) plan.
