Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team of talented medical professionals for one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Presque Isle, ME.

• Employment Status: Part Time
• Compensation: Hourly, paid bi-weekly
• Schedule: 1-3 days a week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Benefits: 401(k) Plan

Requirements and Skillsets:

• Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Physician Assistants must have an active NCCPA certification and remain certified.
• Possess a master’s degree or have completed an approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Good interpersonal skills; flexible and adaptable.
• Basic computer skills.
• Full vaccination per CDC and state guidelines.
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required.

Job Summary:

• Review medical history documentation and conduct one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for veterans.
• Complete electronic documentation during web-based exams; exams are submitted to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
• Standard exams include musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory assessments.
• Order and conduct ancillary tests (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) on-site or nearby.
