Nurse Practitioner (NP) / Physician Assistant (PA) - Cardiology & Cardiac Electrophysiology

Job Summary & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join a growing cardiology and cardiac-electrophysiology practice in an outpatient and inpatient setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience caring for adult cardiovascular patients.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Evaluate new consultations and conduct follow-up visits.
- Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions.
- Round on hospitalized patients at partner hospitals.
- Care for patients with implanted cardiac devices and participate in remote-monitoring workflows.
- Support pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure follow-up.
- Coordinate care with referring physicians, hospital teams, cardiologists, and practice staff.
- Provide patient education regarding cardiovascular disease prevention, treatment, and lifestyle modification.
- Maintain accurate and compliant medical documentation.
- Help develop clinical protocols and practice workflows.
- Work collaboratively while maintaining the ability to manage appropriate clinical responsibilities independently.
- See approximately 20-25 patients during a fully scheduled outpatient clinic day once fully ramped.
- Participate in two weekend days per month. Additional call coverage is available with separate compensation.
Education, Licensure, And Experience
- Current NP or PA qualification with national certification.
- Active California NP or PA license, or eligibility to obtain one.
- Minimum of two years of clinical experience involving both inpatient and outpatient care.
- Cardiology or cardiac-electrophysiology experienced.
- Experience with implanted cardiac devices and/or remote monitoring preferred.
- Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
- Ability to obtain necessary prescribing credentials and hospital privileges.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical-thinking, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work full-time and in person in Tarzana, California.
