Job summary

Medi-Weightloss of Brookfield, CT invites a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team for a flexible full-time/part-time/PRN role. This position focuses on delivering evidence-based weight-management care in a supportive environment, with a fixed Friday shift from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM and PRN opportunities throughout the week.

Responsibilities include comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic testing, and counseling while adhering to supervising physician guidelines.

Qualifications

• CT-licensed NP or PA with DEA certification.
• Ability to obtain and review medical and psychosocial history and perform physical exams.
• Experience within weight-management or preventive medicine is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and review patient history relevant to care.
• Conduct physical examinations per guidelines.
• Order/review labs and ECGs.
• Provide counseling on prevention, programs, products, and supplements.
• Adhere to prescribed guidelines under supervising physician.
• Maintain documentation in EMR per standards.
• Review patient progress and manage care accordingly.
• Coordinate referrals to other healthcare professionals.
• Conduct follow-up calls to discuss progress.
