Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. in Boston is seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join Mass General Brigham Cancer Institute’s Inpatient Service, caring for oncology patients during critical moments of their cancer journey.

Positions available full-time, part-time, and per-diem. You will provide assessment, clinical management, and care plan development in collaboration with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Nursing required.
  • NP license/certification required (state license).
  • Experience as a nurse practitioner preferred.
  • Ability to work with patients and families in oncology.
  • Strong collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compassionate, patient-centered inpatient oncology care.
  • Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care and follow-up.
  • Prescribe medications and manage treatments per policy and standards.
  • Document accurately, timely, and high-quality in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care.

YesEssential FunctionsDeliver compassionate, patient-centered care, counseling, and education to a designated inpatient oncology population.Perform comprehensive histories and physical examinations to support timely clinical assessment and care planning.Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies to guide clinical decision-making.Develop and implement individualized plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic results, physical examination findings, and patient needs.Prescribe medications and manage treatments in accordance with organizational policies, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.Complete accurate, timely, and high-quality documentation, including admission notes, progress notes, procedure notes, and discharge summaries.Perform bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population, scope of practice, and clinical setting.Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary colleagues to coordinate care and support safe transitions throughout the inpatient stay.QualificationsEducation Master's Degree Nursing required.Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
