Job summary

Banner Health’s Occupational Health and Wellness division seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a large, multi-state program in the Phoenix metro area. The role covers baseline and annual physicals, injury follow-ups, and management of occupational health concerns within a supportive team.

Qualified candidates will possess NP/PA-C credentials (AANP/NCCPA), a current DEA license, AZ license or eligibility, and ACLS/BLS.

Qualifications

• NP or PA-C designation (AANP/NCCPA).
• Current prescribing privileges including DEA license.
• Current AZ license or eligibility.
• ACLS/BLS required.
• DOT NRCME certification required.
• Ability to read EKGs and perform treadmill stress tests (training available).

Responsibilities

• Perform baseline and annual physical exams and follow up on injuries/medical conditions.
• Evaluate, treat and provide follow-up for infectious and hazardous material exposures.
• Read and interpret EKGs; treadmill stress testing training within 6 months if needed.

• Current prescribing privileges, including a DEA license for controlled substance required
• Current AZ license or eligibility
• ACLS/BLS required
• Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care or orthopedics is preferred, but new grads will be considered
• Mentorship available
• Certification to perform NRCME (DOT) driver examinations required
• The ability to read and interpret EKGs and exercise treadmill stress tests is a plus or obtain training within 6 months of employment
