Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or post-master’s certificate for Nurse Practitioner.
• 1 year of clinical experience in women’s health nursing.
• National NP certification and Alabama licensure.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 90 days of hire.
• At least 3 years of advanced practice in acute care obstetrics as NP (preferred).
• 5 years RN experience in Labor and Delivery (preferred).
• EFM certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to specialty obstetric patients requiring advanced knowledge and management of their care.
• Collaborate with physician(s) to develop and implement care plans for high-risk obstetric patients.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice or graduate of post master’s certificate program for nurse practitioner
• 1 year of clinical experience and expertise in womens health nursing

Required Registration/License/Certification

• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner and licensed in the state of Alabama
• BLS within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within 1 year of hire
• AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 90 days of hire
