Job summary

Main Line Health seeks a Trauma Critical Care & ACS APP (PA or CRNP) to join Lankenau Medical Center in Wynnewood, PA. The APP will work with a physician-led team, perform perioperative and operative procedures, and advocate for patients across the care continuum.

Requirements include a BS, graduation from an accredited PA/surgical assistant program, and PA license or CRNP with NCCPA certification eligibility. Two years of APP experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Graduate of accredited PA/surgical assistant program.
• NCCPA certification and PA license or CRNP license in PA.
• Two years of APP experience preferred; board eligible graduates considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform and assist perioperative and operative procedures.
• Coordinate care with physicians and healthcare team.
• Advocate for patients within the medical system.
• Maintain credentialing requirements through MLH.

The Advanced Practice Provider or APP [Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (CRNP)] is a licensed medical provider who functions as part of a physician-led health care team that is multidimensional. The APP manages the patients along with the attending physician. They will autonomously order diagnostic and therapeutic measures that make sure the patient care is safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered. The APP will continually monitor and adjust the care of the patient. A major role of the APP is to be the patient advocate in the medical system. The APP will act as a liaison between the patient and all providers on the team. The APP will coordinate the care of the patient when multiple physicians and providers are involved in the care of the patient. The APP may provide other patient care through the execution of standing orders/protocols and/or routine patient care tasks which are delineated in the written agreement. This position will be performing and assisting with perioperative and operative procedures. The APP shall enhance the continuity of quality patient care; amplify communication between the physician, family members, and the health care team; and extend the capabilities of the medical care team.

Position:

Trauma Critical Care APP (Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant)

Shift:

Full Time, 40 hours/week. 3 - 13hr/week schedule with weekend and Holiday rotation

Experience:

Two (2) years’ experience as an Advanced Practice Provider or Board eligible graduate preferred

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree required. Must be a graduate of an accredited physician assistant/surgical assistant program (for Physician Assistants).

Licensures/Certifications:

1. Must be certified or eligible for certification by the NCCPA (National commission for Certification of Physician Assistants) and Pennsylvania State Board of Medical Education and Licensure or licensed by the

3. Successful completion of the MLH credentialing process through the Medical Staff office, with temporary or permanent privileges approved
