Matrix Providers is hiring a Nurse Practitioner NP or Physician Assistant PA to conduct one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exams in Presque Isle, ME.

Job Details

• Employment Status: Part Time
• Compensation: Hourly, paid bi-weekly
• Schedule: 1-3 days/week, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
• Benefits: 401(k) Plan

Requirements and Skills

• Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
• For Physician Assistants: NCCPA certification and active status
• Master’s degree or completion of approved Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• Active BLS certification
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good interpersonal skills, adaptable, flexible
• Basic computer skills
• All staff must be fully vaccinated per CDC and state guidelines
• Prior VA or compensation exam experience is a plus but not required

Job Responsibilities

• Review medical history documentation and perform non-treatment compensation and pension exams for veterans
• Complete documentation electronically during exams; submit to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
• Conduct exams including musculoskeletal, cardio, and respiratory assessments
• Order and conduct ancillary tests (X-rays, labs, EKGs, PFTs, ABIs) on-site or nearby
