Job summary

Protouch Staffing is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C) to join our oncology outpatient team in Holyoke, MA.

The role is full-time with on-site duties including patient evaluations, treatment planning, and collaboration with oncologists and nurses. Massachusetts licensure and NP/PA-C credentials are required for this position.

Qualifications

  • Current NP or PA-C credentials.
  • Massachusetts licensure/authorization to practice.
  • Relevant clinical experience as NP or PA-C.
  • Strong clinical assessment and patient-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary oncology team.
  • Willingness to participate in the provider on-call rotation.
  • Experience caring for adult through geriatric patients preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Conduct patient evaluations, obtain medical histories, and perform physical examinations.
  • Assess patient conditions and develop individualized treatment and care plans.
  • Monitor patient progress and response to treatment.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies.
  • Manage medications and treatment plans in accordance with established clinical protocols.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, pharmacists, and other members of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Coordinate patient care and provide appropriate follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Participate in the provider on-call rotation.
  • Promote a patient-centered approach to oncology care.
