Job summary

Riverhills Neuroscience is seeking a part-time Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient neurology team in Norwood. You will work with a physician to provide follow-up and chronic care management for patients with neurologic conditions.

The role requires Ohio licensure, ACLS, and at least one year of outpatient neurology experience, with strong clinical judgment and teamwork. Travel to other locations may be requested.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited AANP, ARNP, or ARC-PA program.
• Current licensure in Ohio is required.
• Minimum 1 year outpatient experience preferred.
• Minimum 2 years neurology experience preferred.
• Toxin injection experience is preferred.
• ACLS training required.
• Critical thinking skills to assess health and changes.
• Capacity to deal with severely ill patients.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional rapport with patients, physicians, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and obtain medical data.
• Prescribe and manage medications for neurological conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory data and medically necessary procedures.
• Monitor and document patient conditions in the EMR.
• Coordinate care between patients and treating physicians.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our outpatient Neurology team. The NP will work under a designated physician and provide follow‑up and chronic care management for patients with neurologic conditions.

• No Weekends and No Holidays, No Nights
• Outpatient only; no hospital rounding

Responsibilities:

• Perform physical examinations to obtain physical data.
• Prescribe and manage medications for neurological conditions.
• Understand and order medically necessary procedures.

• Perform toxin injections as trained and delegated by supervising physician.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and medical history in the EMR.
• Evaluate patient care, adjusting the plan of care based on outcomes, diagnostic test results and patient feedback.
• Coordination of care between patients and treating physician.
• Other duties as assigned by physician within the scope of licensure and practice agreement.

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training required.
• Critical Thinking skills to quickly and accurately assess a patient's health, as well as to detect and take action for any changes, is required.
• Capacity to deal with severely ill and physically impaired patients.
• Great interpersonal skills with sound judgment, maturity, and an ability to establish good rapport with patients, physicians, vendors, and staff.

Ability to deal with patients, physicians and staff with tact and diplomacy.
