NaphCare is hiring a Full-Time Nurse Practitioner (NP) in Pueblo, Colorado, to join our team serving inmates at the Pueblo County Detention Center. The role combines clinical autonomy with collaboration with correctional officers and medical staff in a secure, controlled environment.
You will diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic conditions, prescribe medications, respond to emergencies, conduct rounds, and maintain detailed medical records while adhering to facility protocols.

As a Correctional Nurse Practitioner (NP ), you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence. Working within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties to keep you engaged including assessing, diagnosing and treating patients with a range of medical conditions and chronic illnesses, prescribe medications, respond to emergencies, etc. This is a unique position where you can make a difference to this diverse population of patients with complex medical needs.

Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
