Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing seeks an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient, contract position in Lafayette, LA. The NP will manage follow-up visits, treatment plans, and new patient evaluations within a collaborative team.

The role features an average of 10–12 patients per day, no inpatient rounding or hospital consults, and an Epic EMR workflow. It offers long-term stability, travel and lodging assistance, and a Monday–Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Board Certified NP with Hematology/Oncology experience.
• Active state NP license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum 3 years Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.
• Chemotherapy certification required.
• Strong care coordination and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments, follow-ups, and evaluations.

• Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and labs.

Join a well-established oncology program with a respected regional healthcare organization seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner for an ongoing outpatient opportunity. This position offers a collaborative practice environment, manageable patient volume, strong clinical support, and long-term assignment stability.

The provider will manage a panel of hematology and oncology patients, including follow-up visits, treatment management, and select new patient evaluations. This is an excellent opportunity for an NP who enjoys building patient relationships, working within a multidisciplinary team, and providing comprehensive cancer care in an outpatient setting.

• Ability to meet all facility credentialing requirements
