Houston Methodist seeks a Nurse Practitioner (NP) to provide comprehensive patient care in inpatient and outpatient settings in Texas. The NP will diagnose, treat, order tests, and prescribe medications within Texas scope, collaborating with the care team to support safe, high-quality outcomes.

This role requires state licensure as an APRN, BLS, and NP certification, plus strong communication and leadership to guide care plans and education for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing and graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Two years of registered nurse, advanced practice or nurse practitioner clinical experience
• RN license in Texas and APRN Non-Acute Care license with Texas prescriptive authority
• BLS certification (AHA)
• DEA license within 6 months

Responsabilités

• Provides evidence-based nursing care within the Nurse Practice Act of Texas.
• Diagnoses, treats, and consults with patients as part of an interprofessional team.
• Orders tests and prescribes medications as appropriate.
• Educates patients and families about preventative care and treatment options.
• Leads and mentors staff, supporting quality and safety initiatives.
