Job summary

Rochester General Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support our Neurology team, delivering high-quality patient-centered care and collaborating with physicians.

In this role you will evaluate and manage post-stroke and general neurological patients, perform exams, prescribe medications, and coordinate follow-up within a comprehensive program.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Evaluate and manage patients following hospitalization for acute stroke and other neurological conditions; obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations; assess patient progress and develop and implement treatment plans.
• Follow-Up Care: Provide post-stroke follow-up and ongoing management, monitor response to treatment, address new or recurring symptoms, and coordinate appropriate diagnostic testing and specialty care.
• Treatment: Prescribe medications, provide patient education, and make appropriate referrals in collaboration with the neurology team.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, update patient charts, and complete required clinical documentation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. PAY RANGE

$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 CITY: Rochester POSTAL CODE: 14621

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
