Job summary

Carondelet Medical Group seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurohospitalist team in Tucson, AZ. This inpatient position offers an integral role within a busy neuroscience program, providing inpatient support.

Work details include a Monday–Friday 8–5 schedule, collaborative care with neurologists and clinical staff, and involvement in patient care, documentation and team activities. Tenet resources support the role.

Responsibilities

• Completes documentation of patient care activities per policy.
• Assists the physician; participates in QA, Infection Control and safety activities.

Job Summary

Carondelet Medical Group is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurohospitalist team in Tucson, AZ. This role offers the opportunity to be an integral part of a busy and growing neuroscience program, providing Inpatient support.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
2. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
3. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
4. Obtains and records client's health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
5. Diagnoses, treats and plans appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refers clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
6. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
7. Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
8. Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
9. Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
10. Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
11. Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
12. Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
13. Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
14. Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
15. Orders medications.
16. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Education:

Required: Master's Prepared Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner

Certifications:

Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. RNP License. Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.
