Geisinger is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our NICU team within the Geisinger Northeast Regional Neonatology Division, serving GWV Wilkes-Barre and GCMC Scranton. The private room Level 3 NICU at GWV and Level 2 NICU at GCMC offer high-acuity care adjacent to labor and delivery, fostering collaboration with neonatologists and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree-Physician Assistant (Required)
• Master's Degree-Physician Assistant (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
• Certified Physician Assistant – NCCPA

Responsibilities

• Attending deliveries/delivery room management of all infants less than 35 weeks and other high-risk indications
• Admissions including history and physical
• Assessments and ongoing management of current NICU patients
• Intubation
• Umbilical line placement
• Chest tubes
• Arterial puncture
• Arterial line placement
• Ventilator management
• Others as applicable

Job Duties

Opportunity Details

• Network NICU Coverage (Level 3 NICU; 14 beds, expanding to 20 beds & Level 2 NICU; 7 beds under development)
• 2,000+ deliveries annually
• Flexible shift combinations (8hr, 16hr, and 24hr shifts)
• No outpatient clinic
