Job summary

DOCS Health is seeking Nurse Practitioners to serve as independent contractors providing health assessments and related services to U.S. military service members in North Carolina.

The role emphasizes weekend coverage with occasional weekday shifts under the Reserve Health Readiness Program, including travel to remote military installations as needed. Active NP license in NC, CPR/BLS certification, and experience in primary or occupational health are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in the state you will work (NC preferred).
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Occupational Health preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work weekends/odd hours.
• Knowledge of military systems and terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Health Assessments of military personnel.
• Review health history, service member medical records, and medical questionnaires.
• Interview military personnel to determine current and prior medical concerns.
• Identify concerns needing immediate attention, including Behavioral Health.
• Document interview results in the military service member’s medical record using the proprietary system.
