The University of Maryland Midtown Campus is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team in Baltimore. You will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients with acute and emergent conditions under supervision.

Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to assess, diagnose, treat, and document care, while promoting safety, quality, and evidence-based practice. Maryland APRN recognition required within six months of hire.

Competenze

• MSN with NP program completed.
• MD APRN recognition required within 6 months of hire.
• DEA and CDS eligible.
• CPR and BLS required; ACLS or other certifications as required by the department.
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience preferred.
• Demonstrates professionalism and ongoing involvement in related activities.

The University of Maryland Midtown Campus is seeking a highly motivated and licensed Nurse Practitioner to join our Emergency Department team. Under general supervision, and in collaboration with physician colleagues and an interdisciplinary care team, the Nurse Practitioner will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals presenting with acute and emergent conditions.

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

• Master of Science degree in Nursing with completion of a Nurse Practitioner program; Registered and currently recorded with the Maryland Board of Examiners of Nurses and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland
• Valid state APRN Recognition (must meet education requirement (s) for state recognition and obtain within six (6) months of hire)
• DEA and CDS eligible
• CPR required
• BLS required
• ACLS and/or other relevant certifications as required by the department
• A minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
• Demonstrates ability to promote professionalism through involvement in professional organizations, teaching, research, publishing, and/or certification in area of specialty
• Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patient population(s) served. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his or her population-specific and age specific needs
• Demonstrates highly effective verbal and written communication skills are required to interact with patient families, departmental units, medical and nursing staff on all essential matters
• Maintains updated mandatory training
• Updates immunizations as recommended per practice area

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
