Job summary

Mass General Brigham Medical Group Northern Massachusetts, Inc. is seeking a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to assess and manage patients with mental health disorders.

You will provide direct care, counseling, and education, perform histories and physicals, and order tests as part of comprehensive treatment planning. The role requires a Master's in Nursing, a Massachusetts RN and NP license, and Psychiatric PCNS credentials.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree Nursing is required.
• Experience in lieu of a degree is not accepted.
• Clinical Nurse Specialist (Psychiatric PCNS) licensure by Massachusetts Board of Nursing is required.
• Experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to a designated patient population.
• Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
• Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develops appropriate plans of care and follow-up based on diagnostic findings.
• Orders medications and writes prescriptions per policies.
• Maintains thorough documentation including admission, progress, and discharge notes.
• Performs bedside procedures as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.

Job Summary

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a licensed provider. The NP is responsible for the assessment and management of various populations of patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, development of appropriate plans of care and ongoing evaluation. This position is a Psychiatric NP and focuses on providing care to patients with mental health disorders.

• Performs bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.


• Performs other duties as assigned
