Job summary

Cardinal Correctional Care in Missouri is seeking a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a hybrid correctional setting, under the supervision of our Medical Director. This role requires a compassionate professional dedicated to improving patient outcomes through effective communication and clinical skills.

This position includes travel within Central Missouri, with 15 hours per week onsite at various locations and remaining hours remote from home.

Qualifications

• Must possess Missouri medical licensing for NP or physician.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience in a primary care specialty.

Responsibilities

• Triage telephone calls promptly and appropriately.
• Examine referred individuals at designated times.
• Serve as primary care provider with care coordination on- and off-site.
• Conduct sick calls, physical exams, and review nursing documentation.
• Coordinate with community providers to resolve service delivery issues.
• Participate in on-site CQI and ensure HIPAA and security compliance.
• Supervise onsite mid-level providers and document encounters.
