Job summary

Cardinal Correctional Care seeks a Physician or Nurse Practitioner to join our team in a hybrid correctional environment, under the supervision of our Medical Director. This role emphasizes delivering high-quality patient care and effective communication in a secure setting.

The position involves travel within Central Missouri; approximately 15 hours onsite at various locations and the remainder remote from home. A company car is provided to support travel and duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess all necessary Missouri Medical Licensing for Nurse Practitioner or Physician.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience in a primary care specialty.

Responsibilities

• Triage telephone calls in a timely and appropriate manner.
• Examine referred individuals at designated times.
• Coordinate on- and off-site care as primary provider.
• Conduct sick calls and physical examinations; review nurse documentation.
• Consult with community medical providers to resolve issues in service delivery.
• Monitor and supervise the delivery of medical care within the facility.
• Supervise onsite mid-level providers and support staff.
