Job summary

Providence Women’s and Children’s Services seeks a nurse practitioner (PNP/FNP/NNP) for newborn hospitalist coverage at 0.8 FTE. You will perform inpatient rounding, newborn resuscitation, and take calls from home across Providence Newberg Medical Center and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.

The ideal candidate has pediatric, family medicine, or neonatal NP experience, or significant RN newborn resuscitation experience if new graduate.

Qualifications

• PNP/FNP/NNP experience preferred; new grads with RN newborn resuscitation experience considered.
• Oregon Advanced Practice License and Oregon RN License required; DEA license.
• NRP certification required or preferred; pediatric, family medicine, or neonatal NP background.

Responsibilities

• Rounding on newborns and providing resuscitation services for the newborn hospitalist team.
• Take calls from home and coordinate inpatient care at Providence Newberg Medical Center and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.
• Collaborate with nurses and support staff to ensure quality neonatal care.

Job description

Providence Women's and Children's Services is seeking an outstanding nurse practitioner, part-time at 0.8 FTE to join Providence Newborn Hospitalist Service. You will be part of a collaborative team of nurses and support staff as you provide inpatient rounding and newborn resuscitation services for the Newborn Hospitalist team. Ideal candidates are either experienced Pediatric, Family Medicine, or Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, or new graduates with significant RN experience in newborn resuscitation. In this role, you will see patients at both Providence Newberg Medical Center and Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center.

Position Highlights:

• Part-time at 0.8 FTE, approximately 125 shifts a year

• 24-hours shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at Providence Willamette Falls and 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m. at Providence Newberg

• Rounding on newborns, providing resuscitation services, taking call from home

Qualifications:

• Experienced PNP, FNP, NNP preferred; In lieu of experience, will consider a new graduate with significant RN experience in newborn resuscitation

• Oregon Advance Practice License and Oregon RN License, DEA License

• NRP certification
