Michel Badin MD PA in Jersey City, NJ is seeking a dedicated Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This role focuses on patients with blood disorders and cancer, offering comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.

Qualifications

• Active NP license in New Jersey.
• MSN or DNP in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Board certification as Adult, Family, or Acute Care NP (AANP or ANCC).
• Prior hematology/oncology experience preferred.
• Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols and oncology guidelines.
• DEA license and NPI number or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to hematology and oncology patients, including evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with supervising physician and multidisciplinary care team to develop and manage individualized patient care plans.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging relevant to hematologic and oncologic conditions.
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other oncology-related treatments.
• Manage symptom control, supportive care, and palliative interventions for cancer patients.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, side effects, and disease management.
• Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Prior experience in hematology, oncology, or a related specialty strongly preferred.

Candidates with experience in internal medicine, hospital medicine, or another relevant specialty who are highly motivated to learn oncology are enouraged to apply.

Familiarity with chemotherapy protocols, clinical oncology guidelines, and supportive care management

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach

DEA license and NPI number required or ability to obtain
