Phoenix Children's is seeking an Advanced Practice Clinician in Hematology and Oncology located in Phoenix, Arizona. The successful provider will be responsible for outpatient care of pediatric and adult hematology patients.
The position includes comprehensive patient assessments, collaboration with healthcare teams, and participation in quality or research projects. A flexible work schedule is offered, with no weekend or holiday coverage required. Prior pediatric hematology experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Posting Note: This APP position will have primary responsibility for the benign hematology patient population. The successful provider will have responsibility for outpatient patient care for both pediatric and adult hematology patients. There may be opportunities to rotate on inpatient service in future as well. Outpatient duties would include evaluating patients in the clinic setting, ordering medications and necessary blood products, managing outpatient prescriptions and home care orders, educating patients and their families on active issues and therapeutic changes, interacting with appropriate consultants, assistance with data monitoring related to this patient population, and scheduling appropriate follow up for patients. The successful individual is expected to work collaboratively with other providers within the hematology team and the broader CCBD to help with completion of projects as they are identified. Participation in focused quality or research projects, in conjunction with the hematology team, is also encouraged. The position will be a 4 day per week position, without additional weekend or holiday coverage responsibilities. Prior pediatric hematology experience preferred although not required.
This position works in collaboration with the attending physicians and works within their scope of practice to provide excellent clinical care for patients. Plays a critical role in the patient family medical team. Professional who may practice in hospital’s inpatient and/or outpatient setting.
