Job summary

UCLA Health's Ronald Reagan Medical Center seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner for the Hematology/Oncology unit. Join an established and dynamic team on the Hematology/Oncology unit at Ronald Reagan Medical Center. As a Nurse Practitioner on this service, you can make a difference in our patient and families lives! Within a collaborative environment, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for providing/coordinating patient clinical care for patients with leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other hematologic malignancies, including those undergoing stem cell transplantation, CAR T-Cell therapy, and clinical trials. In this interdependent role you will ensure quality of patient care by implementing clinical protocols following standards of care practice guidelines, policies and procedures. By using the SPs the NP is able to change treatment regimen after observing signs and symptoms of illness, reactions to treatment, general behavior and physical condition and determines if they are abnormal findings (Ca Nursing Practice Act, subsection(b) of Section 2725). The NP will provide and coordinate the care of patients, provide patient/family education, promote safe continuity of care. The NP also participates in interdisciplinary and clinical rounds, provides education and support, as well as makes appropriate referrals.

Salary

Salary range: $98.95/hourly

Qualifications

• CA RN and CA NP License- required
• MSN/ DNP in Adult Acute Care (AG- ACNP) NP Specialty -required
• National Certification in AG- ACNP Specialty-required
• BLS certification from American Red Cross or American Heart Association- required
• NP, State of CA NP Furnishing with Schedule II, Additional: NPI #, DEA #, Enrollment in PECOS, Enrollment in CURES-required
• RN or APP Oncology experience- preferred
• Previous NP experience-required
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with administrative, clinical and academic personnel -required
• Skill in working independently and following through with minimum direction -required
• Ability to set priorities -required
• Document patient care in a concise and comprehensive manner -required
