Job summary

Gibson Center for Behavioral Change seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner to lead health evaluations and medical oversight within Social Setting Detoxification programs. Flexible hours arranged by the Chief Operating Officer, with oversight of nursing staff within the facility’s scope. Prioritize patient safety, quality care, and interdepartmental collaboration.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in nursing and MO license required.
• At least one year as a nurse practitioner.
• Two years of experience in substance use and mental health treatment, with knowledge of withdrawals and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and monitor consumers in Social Setting Detoxification and Modified Medical Detoxification.
• Perform physical examinations, labs, and interpret results in compliance with state guidelines.
• Prescribe medications per facility guidelines and state regulations.
• Provide medication management on a scheduled basis.
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when needed.
• Educate consumers and staff on medications, side effects, and disease processes.
• Ensure compliance with DMH contracts and agency policies.
