Description:With a target start date of 12/01, we require a Washington license to be in hand at the time of application.The primary responsibility is rounding and assisting with trauma surgeons.Secondary responsibilities will be in the general surgery clinic for post-operative trauma care.Daily shifts are 9-hour shifts from 07:00 to 16:00, with alternating weekends.For the right candidate, the department is open to a combination of 4x10 hour shifts.The setting includes both inpatient and outpatient care.Inpatient care involves a daily census of approximately 10-15 patients.Required procedures include post-operative care, and surgical first assist is desired but not mandatory.Candidates with a hospitalist background excel in this work.Applicants must provide documentation of clinical services performed during the previous 24 months, including diagnosis or procedure, date, and facility.The candidate will work with a trauma surgeon and may collaborate with other surgeons and a PA in the clinic.No solo work is expected.Surgical assist experience is not a requirement.
