Job summary

Optum WA is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our Gastroenterology team in Arlington, WA. This outpatient role offers robust onboarding, collaborative care with GI physicians, and a schedule of four 10-hour days.

Compensation includes a strong base salary plus incentives, a $10,000 sign-on bonus, CME support, and generous PTO. Washington license and DEA are required, with a transition planning period.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
  • National NP certification (AANP or ANCC).
  • Unrestricted Washington State license (or ability to obtain prior to start date).
  • Active Washington State DEA license prior to start date.
  • 2+ years practicing as a fully independent nurse practitioner.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage and provide comprehensive outpatient Gastroenterology care to an established patient population.
  • Evaluate, diagnose and treat a broad range of GI conditions.
  • Collaborate closely with fellow Nurse Practitioners and Gastroenterologists in a team-based care model with a strong referral base.
  • Nurse Practitioners are fully integrated, supported members of the care team with active involvement in clinical decision making.
  • Outpatient only setting with no inpatient responsibilities, procedures or call.
  • Robust onboarding up to 6 months alongside experienced team members.
  • After structured orientation, providers see approximately 14-16 patients per day.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
National NP certification (AANP or ANCC)
Unrestricted Washington State license
Active Washington State DEA license
2+ years practicing as a fully independent nurse practitioner

Your practice:

  • Robust onboarding up to 6 months alongside experienced team members. This gradual ramp is designed to fully support the long-term success of every team member.
  • After structured orientation, providers see approximately 14-16 patients per day.
Schedule & Flexibility
  • Typical schedule of 4 ten-hour days
  • Full time defined as 36 patient contact hours per week
  • After successful onboarding, providers may have the option for one full day of virtual visits per week

Required Qualifications:

Compensation for this specialty generally ranges from $130,000- $164,000. Total cash compensation includes base pay and bonus and is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience and may increase over time based on productivity and performance in the role. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
