Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Gastroenterology team in Modesto/ Turlock seeks a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for outpatient GI care. This 100% outpatient role covers two practice locations with a Mon-Fri 8am-5pm schedule and no on-call obligations.

The ideal candidate has GI experience, NP or PA credential, and is committed to providing high-quality patient care within Tenet Physician Resources policies.

Qualifications

• Master's prepared APRN or PA with GI experience
• Current CA license and board certifications as required
• Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare compliance obligations

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Tenet Physician Resources mission and policies.
• Adheres to HIPAA Compliance Plan and privacy standards.
• Complies with Code of Conduct; follows laws and policies.
• Obtains and records health history; performs total physical exam.
• Diagnoses and plans care; refers to physicians as needed.
• Ensures documentation meets policy requirements.
• Fulfills duties assigned by the physician.
• Reports injuries or adverse reactions to the attending physician.
• Participates in patient review conferences and staffing.
• Assists in utilization review, QA, program eval, infection control, safety.
• Adheres to policies; interprets lab results as part of exam.
• Performs testing and other appropriate procedures.
• Conducts health teaching and counseling with patients.
• Provides direction to nursing and clinic staff.
• Orders medications and other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Central Valley Doctors Health System and Doctor's Medical Center of Modesto are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Gastroenterology practice. This role will cover 2 practice locations in Modesto and Turlock.

• M-F 8a-5p schedule
• 100% Outpatient
• No Call
• Previous GI experience required

The Central Valley Doctors Health System is an integrated healthcare system across the Central Valley consisting of three acute care hospitals (Doctors Medical Center, Emanuel Medical Center and Doctors Hospital of Manteca) and affiliated entities across the region. Responsibilities

1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
2. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
3. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
4. Obtains and records client's health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
5. Diagnoses, treats and plans appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refers clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
6. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
7. Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
8. Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
9. Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
10. Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
11. Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
12. Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
13. Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
14. Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
15. Orders medications.
16. Other duties as assigned

Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. RNP License. Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.
