Job summary

Tenet Physician Resources is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a GI outpatient practice serving Modesto and Turlock. The role is full-time, M-F, 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with no on-call duties.

Responsibilities include comprehensive history taking, physical exams, diagnosing and planning patient care, and coordinating with physicians. CA APRN/PA licensure and GI experience are required, with documentation and compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed/certified to practice in CA as an APRN.
• GI experience required.
• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with outpatient GI experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to Tenet policies and HIPAA compliance.
• Obtains and records patient health history; performs physical assessments.
• Diagnoses, treats and plans care; refers to physicians as needed.
• Completes all required medical documentation per policy.
• Assists physician; participates in reviews and staffing.
• Orders medications and oversees procedures.
• Supports utilization review, QA, infection control, and safety activities.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and data integrity.
• Provides health teaching and counseling during exams.
• Reports injuries or adverse reactions to attending physician.
• Participates in patient review conferences.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Central Valley Doctors Health System and Doctor's Medical Center of Modesto are seeking a dedicated and motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our growing Gastroenterology practice. This role will cover 2 practice locations in Modesto and Turlock.

• M-F 8a-5p schedule
• 100% Outpatient
• No Call
• Previous GI experience required

Responsibilities

1. Adheres to and supports the mission, purpose, philosophy, objectives, policies, and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources.
2. Adheres to the Tenet HIPAA Compliance Plan and the Privacy Standards Confidentiality Agreement.
3. Demonstrates support for the Tenet Corporate Compliance Program by being knowledgeable of compliance responsibilities as expressed in the Code of Conduct; adhering to federal and state laws, rules, regulations, and corporate policies and procedures policies that affect his/her specific job functions/responsibilities; and reporting compliance issues/concerns in a timely and appropriate manner.
4. Obtains and records client's health history; performs comprehensive physical assessment (including biological, social and psychological needs) as part of a total physical examination.
5. Diagnoses, treats and plans appropriate health care for clients as appropriate for specialty; refers clients to physicians and/or outside agencies as required.
6. Ensure completion of all required documentation of patient care activities in accordance with TPR policy.
7. Fulfill all duties assigned by physician
8. Reports to the attending physician of any injuries or adverse reactions during or after treatment
9. Participates in patient review conferences and staffing
10. Assists the physician as follows, but not limited to Utilization Review, Quality Assurance, Program Evaluation, Infection Control, Safety Committee activities
11. Adhere to the established policies and procedures of Tenet Physician Resources Orders and interprets the results of laboratory tests as part of the physical examination and health management.
12. Perform and oversee testing and other appropriate procedures.
13. Conducts health teaching and counseling during the physical exam, as appropriate, enabling the client to make informed choices about health and treatment options.
14. Provides consultative direction as needed for nursing, laboratory and clinic assistant staff.
15. Orders medications.
16. Other duties as assigned

Required: Must be currently licensed, certified or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. RNP License. Additional certification(s) per governing board and in accordance with the facility Medical Staff Bylaws.
