Job summary

AppleGate Recovery, a division of BayMark Health Services, is seeking a Part-Time Nurse Practitioner for its outpatient clinics in Louisiana. The role is hybrid with flexible days and 16 hours per pay period, located in Bossier City (Primary) and other LA sites including Lake Charles, Monroe, and Slidell.

The NP will provide addiction medicine care, conduct patient assessments, counsel patients, and document progress according to policy.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Louisiana.
• Minimum 1 year of addiction medicine experience.
• Active DEA license in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using HPI and A&P in a comprehensive, systematic manner.
• Counsel patients and explain limitations and treatment options.
• Document patient progress according to clinic policy during appointments.

Part-Time Nurse Practitioner Opportunity!

Schedule: Flexible days, Hybrid. 16 hours per pay period.

Locations: Bossier City (Primary), Lake Charles, Monroe, and Slidell, LA

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

• Knowledge of various substances of abuse, the disease of addiction, and signs and symptoms of detoxification.
• Collects and records data such as complete HPI and Assessment and Plan for each patient in a comprehensive, accurate, and systemic manner.
• Counsels patients and helps them understand their limitations and abilities.
• Documents patient progress/ regress according to established policies and procedures during appointments or upon notification of change in status from clinical coordinator or treatment center director.
• Supervising and instructing patients in oral medication self-administration and health education as needed.
• Knowledge of program policies and procedures.

Qualifications | Education | Certifications:

• Must be licensed in the state of LA.
• Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
• At least 1 year of addiction medicine and MA/T experience.
• Drug rehabilitation training/knowledge required.
• Active DEA license in the state of LA.
